When can I exercise after an abdominal hernia surgery?

After a hernia surgery, I advise early physical activity. On the next day after surgery we recommend short walks. In 10 to 14 days you can do light gymnastics,swimming, golf, cycling.
 
It is a myth that after an abdominal hernia surgery you will not be allowed to do heavy athletics, healthy gym, football, tennis, skiing.
 
These pleasures are possible in 3-6 weeks. These recommendations may vary.
 
A discussion will be held in each case and depending on age, general condition, type of surgery, the patient’s condition I will give full and proper instructions.
 
A general rule is that the increase of the load is gradual and the previous sports condition will be reached in about 2-3 weeks.
